As historical finds from the La Tène period demonstrate, the spear was, along with the sword, the preferred weapon of the Celts. In the 19th century, around 2,500 objects were discovered at the La Tène site at Lake Neuchâtel in Switzerland, one of the most famous sites for its La Tène artifacts, including numerous well-preserved spearheads. This site also gave its name to the younger pre-Roman Iron Age, which lasted from about 480 to 15 BC. The original finds can now be found in museums around the world.



The spearhead offered here was inspired by these original finds from the La Tène period. Its special feature is the wave-shaped spear blade, which tapers continuously towards the tip. Two holes allow it to be mounted on a wooden handle of your choice to create your own Celtic spear. Delivery is without shaft and without fixing material.



Please note that this spearhead was primarily designed as a collector's item, decorative item or accessory and is not suitable for display combat!

The steel used here is not stainless and may show slight signs of corrosion. We recommend taking care of the spearhead periodically, for example with Ballistol, a universal oil ideal for preserving steel products.
