A neck guard made of fine chain mail that can be attached to any chainmail or other armor for reinforcement. The neck guard is rectangular with an equally rectangular neckline.

The chain mail rm is made of rings with a diameter of only 6 mm. According to the original templates, it consists of a row of riveted rings (round rivet heads) and a row of perforated rings. Due to the extremely small size due to the ring diameter, these chain mails could then and now be made of steel with a material thickness of only 1 mm, without losing their strength. 30 - 35% achieved. We abbreviate this type of braid rm (english = roman maille ) because it was already used by the celts and romans (as hamata ) was very popular. This ring-shaped chain mail was used throughout the late middle ages.
