This fully mobile, wearable replica of late medieval plate leg armor protects the thighs to approximately below the knees and features the multi-layered design typical of late medieval Gothic plate armor (15th/16th century). It is made of 1.6 mm (16 gauge) steel and blackened internally for enhanced corrosion protection.

The leggings consist of humps (or knee pads ), diechlings, and short greaves. For the necessary mobility, a carriage is used, in which the individual thrust elements are connected to each other by sturdy steel rivets. The diechlings have flanges, and the knee pads are equipped with flower-shaped steel discs, slightly curved inward, riveted to the sides.

Three adjustable leather straps, approximately 3 mm thick, with brass buckles are riveted to the back. This allows for easy individual size adjustment.

These articulated leg guards are equally suitable for medieval reenactment, LARP, stage, TV/film, and costume design. They're ideal for late medieval and Renaissance settings and will make your transformation into a proud and noble knight or warrior simply perfect!

It's a pair, so there's protection for both legs.

The steel used here is not stainless and may show slight signs of corrosion. We recommend regular maintenance of the plate armor, for example with Ballistol, a universal oil ideal for preserving steel products.
