Practical Pro Katana Notes: This is a powerful sword with an extended tsuka and a thicker, longer blade. This hand-forged carbon steel blade has been differentially hardened using a traditional clay-coating process.

The practical pro katana has been very finely polished. The tsuka is wrapped in non-slip synthetic leather and securely fastened with two pins. The saya has been painted black and features a black cotton sageo .

The katana is given a special accent by a round kuruma-tsuba , which represents the dharmachakra (or wheel of dharma), which symbolizes the Buddhist concept of the noble eightfold path.
