The blade of this samurai sword is forged from 1566 carbon steel and has been differentially hardened in the traditional style to produce a Rockwell hardness of 60 HRC at the spine and 40 HRC at the edge.

The removable handle is tightly wrapped in traditional style with synthetic leather to create a good grip that will last for years of tameshigiri training.
