Notes the practical pro elite katana has a longer tsuka and an extra long carbon steel blade.

This samurai sword has been polished very finely. The tsuka , which is covered with ray skin, is wrapped with a cotton ito and held firmly in place with two pins. The saya has been painted jet black and features a black cotton sageo .

The katana is given a special accent by a round kuruma-tsuba , which represents the dharmachakra (or wheel of dharma), symbolizing the Buddhist concept of the noble eightfold path.
