This beautifully crafted horn holder is made of thick, vegetable-tanned buffalo leather (full-grain leather). The surface and edges are polished and given a light-colored finish, giving the leather its characteristic worn look. The holder's contour can be individually adjusted to fit the horn using laces on the back.

The jelling-style dragon relief motif originates from the 10th-century silver cup of the Danish king Gorm.
