Roman brass belt plate, Mainz design



This small rectangular belt plate is based on finds from the Mainz area. The original artefacts, dating from the 1st century AD, belonged to the cingulum or balteus of a Roman legionary.



This beautiful replica of a decorative Roman belt accessory is made of 2 mm thick brass and has an antique finish. Instead of pre-drilled holes, the belt accessory is equipped on the back with four small rivetable pins (approx. 7 mm long / 3 mm diameter).



These brass plates are ideal for building your own Roman belts and are also ideal as replacement parts for existing legionary belts.
