Several Cold Steel employees put the carrying sheath to the test by carrying the machete with them all day while working in the warehouse, training at the gym, or simply during their daily activities. Despite the chopper's size and weight, they all praised how comfortable it was to carry and said they quickly forgot they were even carrying the knife.

It was also extensively tested in Australia by Cold Steel founder and president Lynn C. Thompson, and proved to be a faithful hunting companion and a solid wilderness survival tool.
