This type of clothes brooch, which is also known as an onion button brooch due to its shape, was mainly worn by Roman soldiers in late antiquity and the early Middle Ages, but also high officials liked to decorate their clothes with it. The brooch is made of brass and is ideal as an accessory for historical events such as Roman camp meetings and other reenactments, living history or LARP events.



The fibula can be attached to the garment using a needle.
