Enjoy the Pendleton Hunter, Hunting Knife, Aus 10A
Pendleton Hunter, hunting knife with a blade made of Japanese AUS-10A stainless steel
In 1973, Lynn C. Thompson purchased the first knife made by knifemaker Lloyd Pendleton. The two became fast friends and together worked on one of Cold Steel®'s most popular hunting knife collections, the critically acclaimed Pendleton series.
The Pendleton Hunter is highly regarded in hunting circles and has been a staple of the Cold Steel® collection for many years.
Gutting and skinning harvested game is extremely easy thanks to Lloyd Pendleton's signature drop-point blade! With its strong spine and deep, flat grind, the Pendleton Hunter blade offers a versatile point and razor-sharp edge. The well-formed handle with simple hand guard and thumb stop allows for a variety of grip options necessary for processing complex game. The deeply grooved handle made of Kray-Ex™ also ensures a secure grip, even with cold, wet, or bloody hands.
A sheath made of secure-ex® provides additional security and increased durability. Cold Steel® has abandoned leather in favor of this material because secure-ex® doesn't rot or mold and is much more resistant to cuts and punctures.
Stainless steel from 10a
In terms of strength and toughness, AUS 10A has the same qualities as AUS 8A. However, this steel offers the extraordinary advantage of 20% better edge retention. This ability to stay sharp longer gives it decisive performance advantages over other, more common types of stainless steel.
