The erase style

...The Oseberg style followed in the 9th century and lasted until the mid-10th century. The Borre or Gryphon style of the early Middle Ages is named after the Norwegian town of Borre on the Oslo fjord. Animal and knot ornaments are the hallmarks of this style, which was later replaced by the Jelling style.
