Viking comb made of bone

Combs are among the oldest human tools. In the Middle Ages, they were not only used to comb human hair, but also to prepare wool and other natural fibers for spinning and felting. Our reconstruction of a Viking comb from the early Middle Ages is handmade from real animal bones. In the center it has an eyelet to which a leather strap can be attached.

The comb is reinforced at the back of the comb by riveted bone bands. However, you should keep in mind that it is a fragile material and should be handled with care.
