Paste for the care of cast and wrought iron

This paste, made with natural ingredients, cares for and maintains the pre-treated surface (seasoned finish) of Petromax and cast iron pots and pans. It's also ideal for seasoning untreated cast iron pots and pans.

Combines protection and care

The food-safe paste provides optimal care when applied after each Dutch oven cooking session. This preserves the pre-treated surface of the Petromax brazier. At the same time, the care paste protects the pot from rust and unwanted food sticking.

Use as a baking paste

The paste is also suitable for the first or repeated seasoning of Dutch ovens. The baking process with the care paste can also be used to specifically remove rust stains.

Unique combination of ingredients

Unlike commercially available cooking oils, this paste doesn't go rancid thanks to a sophisticated combination of several natural oils and can be stored for up to 7 years. This means the Dutch oven can be easily cared for even before storing it for a longer period of time.

Forms an excellent patina

Regular use of food-safe care paste creates a high-quality patina over time. This patina not only enhances the quality of the cast iron Dutch oven but also optimizes its cooking and frying properties.

Ingredients:

Made from pure, natural, food-safe products, vegan, gluten-free, paraffinum subliquidum ph. eur., native oil components, triglyceride oils, a blend of base oils with ionic liquid, and color and weight additives. Store in a cool, dark, and sealed place.
