Prepare for combat with this balaclava, or burgonet , an essential piece for historical reenactments and combat shows. This classic design, also known as a burgundy or schaller , emerged in the early 16th century as an evolution of the sallet and was especially popular with landsknecht pikemen and light cavalry of the time, becoming one of the most widely used helmets in Europe during the 16th and 17th centuries.

Made from 2mm steel to withstand impacts, this helmet features a pronounced crest to deflect blows and protect the head, plus movable, removable cheek fins to accommodate different fighting styles. It includes two neck guard options: a closed, foldable version for added protection, and a rigid, mesh version, ideal for more intense combat.

For added comfort, the helmet comes equipped with a leather lining and a chin strap for a secure and firm fit during battle.
