Closed balaclava, burgonet, 17th century, 1.6 mm steel
A very faithful reconstruction of the original of a balaclava with a visor, the so-called burgonet, from the 17th century. The original of this helmet is in the Royal Armouries in Leeds, in northern England.
The helmet (including the visor) is made of 1.6 mm steel and comes with a leather strap at the front. It is secured with a genuine brass buckle. The visor is secured with forged hooks. The interior of the helmet is lined with soft fabric padding.
