Closed balaclava, burgonet, 17th century, 1.6 mm steel

A very faithful reconstruction of the original of a balaclava with a visor, the so-called burgonet from the 17th century. The original of this helmet is in the Royal Armouries of Leeds, in the north of England.

The helmet (including visor) is made of 1.6 mm steel and comes with a leather strap at the front. Closed with a genuine brass buckle. The visor is locked by forged hooks. The inside of the helmet is lined with soft fabric padding.
