Parma - Roman round shield

The parma is a round Roman shield that was used by auxiliary troops (auxilia). This version of the shield, unlike the scutum, is not curved, but flat and has a round or oval shape. The parma was also used by standard-bearers and musicians.

Our replica is made of approximately 1cm thick plywood and has a brass shield. The customer must secure it before use with the decorative screws supplied.

In the area of ​​the shield overhang there is a circular recess and on the back there is a full-width wooden handle. The parma is artistically painted on the front.
