Viking pants are undoubtedly the most important item of clothing for the representation of a Viking or a Slav.

The Olaf trousers were inspired by the Rus Vikings (ca. 8th-11th century). The Rus are believed to have originally been Scandinavian or Swedish Vikings who invaded Slavic-influenced Eastern Europe via the Baltic Sea and settled there as traders.

Pictorial evidence of Viking harem trousers can be found, for example, on the Gotland Picture Stones (Broa, 8th century).

Our reed pants are made of a sturdy cotton fabric (twill weave) and are comfortable to wear. They have a very voluminous cut at the top and are gathered and narrowed below the knee. The tight-fitting part can be covered with calf wraps (available separately in our shop). Don't be surprised when you unpack the pants: the waist is very wide and therefore has a drawstring for individual adjustment. Side pockets and small slits at the hem increase freedom of movement.

- To determine your dress size based on your body measurements, measure horizontally at the strongest point.
- For pants, use your hip circumference as a guide.
- You must choose between two if the sizes are different, we recommend choosing the larger size.
- Comfort margins are included in the cut.
