This shovel is not made for digging.

The Dark Moon Sapper Shovel is a 60cm foam shovel, handcrafted to mimic the Russian MPL-50 entrenching tool for your cosplay or LARP needs. This particular military shovel would not have been used for digging, but for close combat (and sometimes as a cooking or paddle tool)! Its wooden handles were sanded, not painted, and molded to fit perfectly in the hand, minimizing the danger of fighting in wet conditions. Our imitation captures this same gritty, dangerous feel.

Constructed from EVA foam around a sturdy fiberglass shaft, this sapper shovel is finished with a durable latex coating to prevent disintegration and give it a smooth, realistic surface. The handle is hand-carved and painted to resemble real wood grain, while the head has a beautiful rusty, grungy finish.

The shovel head isn't actually useful for digging or cooking, but it's great for bashing zombies in your favorite post-apocalyptic game! It includes fine, realistic details like nail heads and overlapping plates. Use this improvised weapon against grease gangs, the undead, and radioactive insects, and look authentically cool in the process.
