The wilderness survival shovel has a welded back plate which makes the whole shovel head more robust than other products on the market. The welded back plate and handle tip are also suitable for hammering.
The head of the shovel has a strong chisel cut that can be sharpened. This allows this shovel to also be used as a chopping or pounding tool. The tread surfaces face backwards to create a flatter, more compact package.

This shovel is smaller than other shovels and this makes it easy to use and store in a backpack or vehicle.
