Cold Steel® Subhilt knives offer all the benefits of a custom knife, including performance, but are much more affordable. The blades are made from Japanese AUS 8A stainless steel and are double hardened using the most modern techniques to ensure unmatched strength and resilience. The handle on these blades is a model of efficiency and economy. The handle, crossguard and finger guard ( sub-hilt ) section made from Kray-Ex™ are injection molded in one piece. While this material is inexpensive, it still provides the durability, safety and control you would expect from a Subhilt knife. Plus, the handle remains weather-resistant and moisture-resistant.



Prized by hunters, survivalists, martial artists and members of the military, the double-edged Oss is nearly unbeatable as a thrusting sword. Thanks to its razor-sharp cutting edges, it is also more than suitable as a chopping tool and can slice and cut from almost any direction.



Stainless steel aus 8a

Cold Steel® has been using the same expertly hardened Japanese Aus 8A steel for nearly three decades. This steel has been extremely tested and has proven over the years to be ideal for making blades for work knives – it is hard and corrosion resistant, with good edge retention and is also easy to sharpen.
