Cold Steel® Subhilt knives offer all the benefits of a custom knife, including performance, but are much more affordable. The blades are made from Japanese AUS 8A stainless steel and are double hardened using the most modern techniques to ensure unmatched strength and resilience. The handle on these blades is a model of efficiency and economy. The handle, crossguard and finger guard ( sub-hilt ) section made from Kray-Ex™ are injection molded in one piece. While this material is inexpensive, it still provides the durability, safety and control you would expect from a Subhilt knife. Plus, the handle remains weather-resistant and moisture-resistant.



The Osi is a highly stable, single-edged version of the OSS (item no. CST-39LSSC). Thanks to its flat blade with a fine, extremely sharp edge, it is ideal for stabbing and you will be able to cut and slash with equal confidence. This knife has been thoroughly field tested by Cold Steels® President Lynn C. Thompson. It has been used to skin and open dozens of game animals, from wild boar to buffalo, and has proven time and time again to be extremely efficient!



Stainless steel aus 8a

Cold Steel® has been using the same expertly hardened Japanese Aus 8A steel for nearly three decades. This steel has been extremely tested and has proven over the years to be ideal for making blades for work knives – it is hard and corrosion resistant, with good edge retention and is also easy to sharpen.
