This highly dosed plum water from the Black Forest distillery was stored for many months in our barn on the Elbe marsh in Holstein. Maturation took place in a freshly emptied Laphroigh whisky cask, an American white oak cask that was originally filled with Bourbon whisky before beginning its long journey to Scotland.
The result is a complex but relatively smooth whisky for its brandy alcohol content.
Fruity plums dominate, closely followed by oak barrel aromas:
Sweet vanilla and subtle tannins. Waving with a distinctive smoky note, a long-lasting peat aroma. This unique spirit specialty bids farewell to the tongue and palate from the Scottish island of Islay.

Without hurrying, give us this fine brandy all the time necessary.
It needs to develop its full and complex aroma in a wooden barrel.
