Forging and heat-treating a 49-inch (approx. 125 cm) blade is no small feat, but Hanwei's blacksmiths have risen to the challenge, and Paul Chen is now very pleased to present a fully functional, historically accurate odachi (also called a nodachi ).

With a total length of approximately 170 cm, only one word does justice to this Japanese longsword: huge!

An original piece from the 14th century, when the odachi was still in use, was used. This sword model was used in battle. It is simply a must-have for any Japanese sword lover.
