This Epic Armory fiberglass core is one of our DIY products used to create your own live-action role-playing weapon, while benefiting from the safety of an Epic Armory sword. This 8mm diameter fiberglass core is 80cm long and is strong and flexible.

Instructions for use:

There are multiple methods for creating a LARP weapon, but here are the basics! Carve closed-cell foam into the weapon shape you desire and secure it around a clean, sanded fiberglass core. The glue will grip the sanded core better and improve the durability of your new weapon. Remember to leave a safe amount of foam around the core to preserve its safety! When you achieve the shape you want, dip the weapon in latex and let it dry between coats for a smooth, protective surface.

Cover your latex gear with a thin layer of silicone to prevent the surface from drying out and prolong the life of your weapon. Always inspect your weapon for damage before and after each use. Wrap the handle with leather or fabric for a finished look.

Available in lengths of 80, 100, 120, and 180 cm; and diameters of 8, 10, and 15 mm.
