The thick and especially wide blades are extremely finely ground to ensure maximum cutting capacity. This gives each blade an amazing edge. In addition, thanks to the high carbon content and the almost perfect heat treatment of the steel, the blade will remain sharp for a surprisingly long time.



The Voyager® Series also features all of the latest improvements including the ultra-fast one-handed opening system, state-of-the-art mechanical clamping hardware, oversized, adjustable and carefully hardened pivot pins, and two stainless steel pocket clips for ambidextrous use.



The highly ergonomic and highly practical Griv-Ex™ handles are reinforced with hardened 6061 aluminum and allow for a variety of gripping techniques. Griv-Ex™ is unique as a handle material: when deeply textured, this material is incredibly slip-resistant. It is also impervious to moisture, will not crack, warp or shrink, and is remarkably resistant to abrasion and discoloration. Cold Steel® has been using the same expertly hardened Japanese Aus 8A steel for nearly three decades. This steel has been extremely tested and has proven over the years to be ideal for making blades for work knives – it is hard and corrosion resistant, with good edge retention and is also easy to sharpen.
