SR1 Lite Tanto Point, a rescue knife with a blade made of 8cr13mov steel.

The sr1 lite tanto may not be significantly lighter than the sr1 tanto (item no. 62la) in terms of weight, but when it comes to budget, it will definitely be less of a hit on your wallet!

It looks virtually the same as its bigger brother, but features grips made of Griv-Ex® (instead of G-10) and a blade made of the more economical 8Cr13MoV steel. It hasn't lost any of its sharpness and is always ready for tough use or the next big adventure.

8cr13mov stainless steel

8Cr13MoV has similar properties to AUS 8A and is a proven steel ideal for making work knives. At Cold Steels®, in our own tests, this high-carbon stainless steel has proven to be hard and corrosion-resistant. Like AUS 8A, it has good edge retention and is also easily resharpened.
