When designed, every component was developed to make them as durable and powerful as possible. All models in this multifaceted collection are made with Cold Steels®. Equipped with the world-famous Tri-AD® locking mechanism, which offers your precious fingers optimal protection even in the most adverse conditions.

The Recon 1 is equipped with a G-10 handle with a particularly robust, small pocket clip. For left-handers, it's worth noting that the clip can be used with either hand. Furthermore, thanks to its small size, this clip won't wear down or irritate the palm of your hand, even if you use the knife for extended periods. With its highly grooved surface, the cleverly shaped handle ensures a fantastic grip. To make opening as comfortable as possible, each knife is equipped with a thumb disk.

Model 2019 - The Recon 1® Tanto Point, partially serrated with a S35VN steel blade and DLC coating, replaces the discontinued predecessor model, manufactured in CTS® XHP (item no. CST-27TLCTH).

CPM S35VN steel

This is an extraordinary American super steel. CPM S35VN is not only extremely tough and durable, but it can also be sharpened very well to razor sharpness and maintains this edge for a long time. With its uniform microstructure, this very fine-grained powder steel offers good and consistent properties: durable, reliable, highly corrosion-resistant, tough, and hard even with finely ground cutting edges. A good, versatile steel for premium knives and tools.
