The Expedition Series, the new line of tools for professional explorers, welcomes the Rao II Expeditions folding knife model.

The Expeditions series knives offer the same reliability and high quality as any other Extrema Ratio tactical tool provided to military special forces and police. The RAO II Expeditions is a tool that, thanks to its construction and despite its compact size, guarantees the same functionality and features as a much larger and more robust product.

It has a desert-colored handle and sheath, like any other model in the Expedition series. It features a blade made of Böhler N690 steel (58HRC) with MIL-C-13924 blackening and a stonewash (dark stone) surface coating. The Rao II Expeditions features ergonomic handle scales with rounded top angles and a drop-point blade.

Inspired by the Rao model with a tanto blade used by the Italian 185° RGT. (185° Rao). The new Expedition Series folding knife can also be used for heavy-duty tasks, as it features an extremely robust locking mechanism backed by a safety catch that transforms it into a true fixed blade.

The solid anticorodal aluminum handle is fitted with a threaded steel pin that is hand-screwed through two holes in the guard to ensure 100% resistance of the locking mechanism to intensive use and violent impacts caused by the knife's mass. Maximum user safety is ensured by screwing the pin into this seat.

All models in the Expedition series are equipped with desert-colored sheaths and, among the various tools, also feature a fire-starting brazier. The RAO II Expeditions is no exception and comes with a desert-colored Cordura sheath, which is an essential part of the carrying system. This special sheath allows the knife to be carried with the blade closed in the dedicated front pocket or with the blade open in the dedicated compartment, which features a safety system consisting of a double-clip strap. In addition to the refractory steel, there is also a diamond sharpener. The sheath's MOLLE attachment system allows it to be used on tactical vests and regular belts.
