Military knives have a long history and many fans. Yet, they tend to be cumbersome and bulky for everyday use. Kershaw and knifemaker Les George offer a solution, inspired by a classic American trench knife design from World War II and transforming it into a practical folder.



Like combat knives of the past, the XCOM features a symmetrical spearpoint blade that’s ideal for piercing and slashing. A bayonet cut complements the XCOM’s old-school theme. But Kershaw also had legal concerns in mind. The XCOM’s quality 8Cr13Mov steel blade is sharpened on one side only, making it safer, easier to close, and legal in more areas. The large 9.2cm blade can be opened manually with a built-in thumb stud.

The comfortable, practical handle fits a variety of hand sizes, from larger to smaller. The XCOM's grooved handle is made of all-weather, fiberglass-reinforced nylon and features a hand guard near the blade to prevent slipping. The exposed liner on the back of the blade is notched for better cutting control. An inset liner lock securely holds the blade open during use and easily closes when you're finished.



The XCOM has a deep, reversible pocket clip so the knife can be carried discreetly at the bottom of your pocket. You can also thread some paracord through the large lanyard hole to make your knife stand out more.
