The Scallion is already one of Kershaw's most popular knives, but Kershaw thought they could take it a step further, and so the folding knife received some great looking handle scales in bright purple ( jewel tone purple ). So if you've been wanting a more colorful Scallion for a while, this model might be the one for you.

The handy, approximately 6 cm long blade remains unchanged, so this model is also ideally sized and has the ideal weight to be carried comfortably in your pocket, purse or backpack.

The blade is made of 420HC stainless steel with a high carbon content and therefore has good edge retention and excellent corrosion resistance. It has a glass bead-blasted finish which gives it a smooth, matte look and is also easy to clean. The handle of the purple scallion knife is made of steel plates and anodized aluminum scales. Anodizing allows the aluminum to be coated in all imaginable colors (a stunning violet was created here), provides better protection against scratches and also has a strengthening effect on the metal. This makes the handle stable, light and colorful at the same time.

Like the other folding knives in the Scallion collection, this model is equipped with the SpeedSafe ambidextrous opening mechanism. Simply press the protruding flipper or push the joystick forward and the blade will extend from the handle and be ready to use in no time.

For optimum safety, the purple-handled scallion is double-locking: a liner lock ensures that the blade is securely locked when open, so that it cannot be accidentally closed during use. And when the scallion is closed, a tip-lock slider holds the blade firmly in position and makes it impossible to accidentally open it during transport.
