If you prefer a knife in a simple black color, this model is probably the one for you. To create the matte black look, Kershaw technicians ionize the metal and apply it to the blade and handle in a layer just a few micrometers thick. This process produces a hard, scratch-resistant coating known as DLC ( Diamond-Like Carbon ).

The Leek may be the ideal EDC (everyday carry) knife. With its approximately 3" blade, this folding knife is a good size without being bulky. Its slim profile makes it easy to carry and its sharp, durable Sandvik 14C28N steel blade is capable of performing a wide range of cutting tasks.

With its modified drop point blade with a partially serrated edge, this knife is well suited for cutting, but the narrow tip of the blade also gives it good piercing properties and is extremely handy for fine work. Like the other Onion * knives, the Leek is equipped with the ambidextrous SpeedSafe opening mechanism. Whether you are right or left handed, simply press the protruding flipper or push the thumb pin forward and the blade is ready to use.

An extremely stable frame lock, which ensures secure locking, guarantees reliable handling of the blade when open and a tip-lock slider holds the blade firmly in position when the leek is closed.

The reversible pocket clip is designed for both tip-up and tip-down carry styles, and a hole in the handle allows you to attach a lanyard.
