The bright orange of the anodized aluminum handle scales is a color that will not fade or scratch. It is firmly bonded to the aluminum. Therefore, it looks good now and will not lose any of its beautiful appearance over time.

The approximately 3" ready-to-use blade of this knife is made from Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel, a collaboration between Kershaw and Sandvik developed high performance steel that allows Kershaw to produce a razor sharp leek, ready to use right out of the box and that also has high edge retention. With its modified drop point blade, this knife is well suited for slicing, but the narrow tip of the blade also gives it good piercing properties and is extremely handy for fine work.

Like the other Onion knives*, the Leek is equipped with the SpeedSafe opening mechanism. Whether you are right- or left-handed, simply press the flipper with both hands and the blade is ready to use. Reliable handling is guaranteed by a stable liner lock, which ensures that the blade is securely locked when open, and a tip-lock slider, which holds the blade firmly in position when the Leek is closed. >
The reversible pocket clip is designed for both tip-up and tip-down carry styles, and a hole in the handle allows you to attach a lanyard.
