The bright orange of the anodized aluminum handle scales is a color that won't fade or scratch. It's firmly bonded to the aluminum, so it looks good now and won't lose any of its beautiful appearance over time.

The ready-to-use, approximately 3" blade of this knife is made from Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel, a collaboration between Kershaw and Sandvik. This high-performance steel allows Kershaw to produce a razor-sharp knife that's ready to use right out of the box and also has high edge retention. With its modified drop-point blade, this knife is well suited for slicing, but the narrow point of the blade also gives it good piercing properties, making it extremely practical for fine work.

Like the other onion knives*, the Leek is equipped with the SpeedSafe opening mechanism. Whether you're right- or left-handed, simply press the flipper with both hands and the blade is ready to use. Reliable handling is ensured by a stable liner lock, which ensures the blade is securely locked when open, and a Tip-Lock slider, which holds the blade firmly in position when the Leek is closed.
The reversible pocket clip is designed for tip-up and tip-down carry styles, and a hole in the handle allows you to attach a lanyard.
