Treat yourself to the Kershaw Leek Composite Blade Pocket Knife
Kershaw Leek pocket knife with composite blade
The first thing you'll notice when you look at the Leek Composite Pocket Knife is... the composite blade. The clearly visible wavy line running the entire length of the blade is the copper weld connecting the razor-sharp D2 tool steel edge and the Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel spine. With this combination of two types of steel, Kershaw has created a blade that not only looks good, but also offers the best of both worlds.
D2 steel is used for the lower section: a steel with a high carbon and chromium content that can be sharpened extremely sharply and has incredible edge retention. The upper section is made of high-performance Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel. With a composite blade of this type, the material-specific advantages of each steel type can be optimally utilized.
Like the other folding knives in the Leek collection, this model has a blade length of approximately 7.6 cm, a slim, easy-to-carry design, and a wide range of uses. With its modified drop-point blade, it's well-suited for cutting, but the narrow blade tip also gives it good piercing properties and is extremely practical for fine work.
Like the other onion knives, the Leek is equipped with the SpeedSafe two-handed opening mechanism. Whether you're right- or left-handed, simply press the protruding flap or slide your thumb forward, and the blade is ready to use.
This leek model also features a pure stainless steel handle, giving the knife a simple, straight-lined appearance. Reliable handling is ensured by an extremely stable frame lock, which ensures the blade is securely locked when open, and a tip-lock slider, which holds the blade firmly in position when the leek is closed.
The reversible pocket clip is designed for tip-up and tip-down carry styles, and a hole in the handle allows you to attach a lanyard.
