This is the Launch 9. Although it looks like a smaller version of Kershaw's successful Launch 2 , the Launch 9 has its own charm. It's easy to transport thanks to its compact size and has a sophisticated look.

The Launch 9's drop-point blade is made of CPM 154 steel and offers a working finish that's slightly rougher than stonewash, helping to more easily hide the nicks and scratches a work knife acquires with use. The powder-coated CPM 154 blade steel offers excellent sharpness and edge retention, and also features good corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and durability.

Like the rest of the Launch series, the Launch 9's handle is made of anodized aluminum. A simple matte black finish was chosen for an attractive everyday look. The knife can be quickly opened and unlocked by pressing a button on the handle, allowing the blade to fold back into the handle after use. The low profile of the button reduces the risk of accidental activation.

The Launch 9 features an integrated rear spacer with lanyard loop (ideal for a paracord lanyard) and a reversible pocket clip.
