For those who prefer knives with a shorter blade, Kershaw has created the Launch 4. This knife, with a blade length of just 4.8 cm, is quite practical.

The blade is made from CPM154 high-performance steel. This powder-treated steel has excellent sharpening ability and edge retention thanks to a more even distribution of the carbide. It also features good corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and durability. A DLC ( diamond-like carbon ) coating provides even better protection for the blade and gives the blade surface a beautiful, non-reflective appearance.

To keep the Launch 4's weight as low as possible, the handle scales and spacers are made of durable black anodized aluminum. This model is equipped with a fixed (non-reversible) pocket clip and can be carried tip-up .

The Launch 4 can be opened with a push of a button. This knob adjusts its height so that it forms a line with the handle surface. This additional safety feature reduces the risk of accidental opening. Regardless, these knives should always be used with extreme caution under all circumstances. For those of you who are left-handed, the lock/unlock button can be operated with the index finger instead of the thumb.
