No, the Fatback doesn't have a thick back. On the contrary, this folding knife has a fairly thin handle. But to ensure a more secure grip at all times, the scales of the fiberglass-reinforced nylon handle have been given an especially durable surface structure.
The beautiful modified drop-point blade has a more dagger-like shape. The 8Cr13MoV stainless steel used was precision heat-treated by Kershaw and features high edge retention, strength, and hardness. The blueing provides additional protection and gives the blade a glare-free appearance.

The Fatback is equipped with Kershaw's SpeedSafe opening mechanism and can therefore be easily opened with one hand. The oversized axle screw is very decorative. The holes in the handle are positioned to allow you to choose the optimal carrying method from the four different positions offered by the Kershaw pocket clip (angled up/angled down, left/right). In addition, this pocket clip is a Deep Carry clip, so the knife can be carried safely, comfortably, and deep in your pants pocket.
