Give the Kershaw Eris pocket knife as a gift
Kershaw Eris pocket knife
The goddess Eris, known as the troublemaker of the Greek pantheon, always found joy in provoking envy. And this is exactly the feeling the Kershaw Eris pocket knife might evoke when you first take it out of your pocket to show off to your friends.
The Eris has a modified drop-point blade with a nice wedge (a ground but unsharpened top portion of the blade). Kershaw gave the 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade a two-tone finish: while the ground areas have a stonewashed finish, the remaining areas of the blade have a satin finish. The 8Cr13MoV steel features good sharpness and edge retention, and can also be easily resharpened when the time comes. Thanks to the SpeedSafe® opening mechanism, the blade can be quickly and effortlessly extended with one hand.
The beautiful blade of the Eris is paired with a handle made of pure stainless steel with a smooth, matte gray titanium carbonitride coating. A sturdy frame lock ensures the blade is securely locked during use. The contoured handle fits comfortably in the hand and has a hole for attaching a lanyard. With its solid steel handle, the Eris is quite massive and thus lives up to its other namesake (the celestial body Eris is the most massive dwarf planet in our solar system). However, the pocket-sized Eris weighs just over 130 g. So, it may look rugged, but it won't weigh down your bag. Thanks to the practical reversible pocket clips, the knife can be carried either left or right.
