Kershaw and Rick Hinderer have teamed up to create the Kershaw Ember, a sleek pocket knife in a smaller format.

What will you notice first? Notice with the ember What will certainly catch your eye, of course, is its size. The blade is only 5 cm long and when closed the knife has a compact size of approx. The next thing you notice is its striking appearance. The corners and angles, the contours, the matte grey coating and the black fittings give the knife a tactical look that will delight knife users.

The Ember is equipped with the SpeedSafe® opening mechanism and can be opened effortlessly using the practical integrated flipper. The back of the modified clip-point blade has an ergonomic recess that serves as a practical finger rest when precise, controlled edge guidance is required during fine work. A sturdy frame lock ensures that the blade is securely locked during use.

The blade has been heat treated strictly according to Kershaw’s exacting criteria to bring out the best in steel. A titanium carbonitride coating on the blade and handle provides a matte grey finish. Black hardware, including a 3-position pocket clip, adds the finishing touches to the look of this small knife.

The Kershaw and Rick Hinderer Ember can be easily carried in any type of bag, briefcase or backpack, but still has plenty of style for a knife of this size.
