This knife is one of the original Kershaw Blur models that started it all.

Like all the other folding knives in the Blur collection, the Black Blur is equipped with a generously sized blade that's perfect for a wide range of cutting jobs thanks to its slight recurve grind. This shape gives it not only great cutting capacity but also excellent piercing properties. The high-performance Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel used for this knife is characterized by excellent corrosion resistance and hardness. For an even more beautiful look and even better corrosion protection, the blade of this pocket knife has been given a DLC ( Diamond-Like Carbon ) coating. This model also has a partial serration, which provides additional cutting performance to speed up work with cords, ropes, or other fibrous cuts.

As expected, the Black Blur knife handle is characterized by an extremely high grip. To achieve this, the handles were fitted with non-slip Trac-Tec grip tape inserts. The handle itself is made of durable, anodized 6061-T6 aluminum, an aluminum sometimes referred to as aircraft aluminum due to its widespread use in the manufacture of aircraft parts. Its main advantages include its light weight, extremely high durability, and the fact that it can be colored (through anodizing), allowing Kershaw to produce colorful handles with a scratch-resistant and especially durable surface.

The Blur is equipped with the SpeedSafe® opening mechanism and can therefore be easily opened with one hand. By briefly pushing the joystick forward, the resistance of the torsion bar spring in the SpeedSafe mechanism is overcome. The SpeedSafe takes care of the rest, and the blade can be quickly and easily extended from the handle. The convertible pocket clip is suitable for both tip-up and tip-down operation. Carry-style, and a hole in the handle allows for attaching a lanyard.
