For many years, the Blur has been an all-time favorite in the Kershaw range. Whether on the job or at home in your own workshop, this knife is perfect for tough use.

The recurved cutting blade is perfect for a wide range of cutting jobs. This shape gives it not only a high cutting capacity but also excellent piercing properties. The handle scales made of so-called aircraft-grade aluminum are lightweight and durable. This particular model has a small carbide tip integrated into one of the handle scales. Choosing the right material plays a crucial role here, because in an emergency, a simple steel tip won't have the same effect as a carbide tip. If you have to break a windshield to free a trapped accident victim, it simply has to be made of carbide. And with the Blur glass breaker, that's the case.

The blade makes the Blur an even better rescue tool. It's made from high-performance Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel and, with its partially serrated edge, can easily cut through webbing (e.g., seat belts) and other difficult cuts—and this can be absolutely crucial in an emergency. The Glass Breaker knife also put great emphasis on grip (even in unfavorable conditions). The anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handles are fitted with non-slip Trac-Tec grip tape inserts, which provide additional slip resistance and ensure the knife stays where it belongs—in your hand.

The Blur Glassbreaker is equipped with the SpeedSafe® opening mechanism and can therefore be easily opened with one hand. This is also a major advantage when you consider that in an emergency situation, you can't always use both hands and have both hands free. By briefly pushing the joystick forward, the resistance of the torsion bar spring in the SpeedSafe mechanism is overcome. The SpeedSafe takes care of the rest, and the blade can be quickly and easily extended from the handle. The reversible pocket clip is designed for tip-up and tip-down carry, and a hole in the handle allows for attaching a lanyard.
