If you're looking for an affordable yet powerful folding hunting knife, you should get the Double Safe Hunter from Cold Steel®. The model for this knife was the very popular Voyager® from the "Old Guard." Its broad, clip-point blade, approximately 9 cm long, is made of 8Cr13MoV steel and has been hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 57-58 HRC. No matter what task you're facing, you can be sure you have the right knife at hand, because its blade is small enough for delicate work, yet large enough to skin both small and large animals.

Its glass-fiber-reinforced nylon (GFN) handle with a steel pocket clip is slim and ergonomically comfortable—an absolute dream for extended use. It's available in three color variants: bright orange (CS-23JB), OD green (CS-23JC), or with a striking camouflage pattern (CS-23JE).

When designing Double Safe, Cold Steel® took care, as always, to protect your fingers. The knife's modern flip-lock is double-safe and therefore incredibly resistant to knocks and impacts.

8cr13mov stainless steel

8Cr13MoV has similar properties to AUS 8A and is a proven steel ideal for making work knives. Cold Steel®'s own tests have shown this high-carbon stainless steel to be hard and corrosion-resistant. Like AUS 8A, it has good edge retention and is also easily resharpened.
