The SR1 Lite may not be significantly lighter than the SR1 (Item #62L) in terms of weight, but when it comes to budget, it will definitely be less of a hit on your wallet!



It looks almost exactly like its bigger brother, but has handles made from griv-ex® (instead of g-10) and a blade made from cheaper 8cr13mov steel. It hasn't lost any of its sharpness and is always ready for hard use or the next big adventure.



8cr13mov stainless steel

8Cr13MoV has similar properties to Aus 8A and is a proven steel ideal for making work knives. At Cold Steels® in our own tests, this high carbon stainless steel has proven to be hard and resistant to corrosion. Like Aus 8A, it has good edge retention and can also be easily resharpened.
