Tim Wells Slock Master Hunter Pocket Knife

Tim Wells spends more time hunting than most of us, and if he's learned anything, it's how important a good skinning knife is—especially when you're hungry, wet, tired, and your hands are freezing.

The Slock Master Hunter is a special Tim Wells version of the Cold Steels® Double Safe Hunter (item nos. CS-23JB, CS-23JC, and CS-23JE). It features Tim's signature red handle and is equipped with a specially designed drop-point blade (with plenty of belly) that's perfect for all outdoor activities.

Like the Double Safe, the Slock Master is an affordable yet high-performance folding hunting knife with an 8Cr13MoV steel blade and a slim, ergonomically comfortable glass-reinforced nylon (GFN) handle, fitted with a steel pocket clip. The knife's modern flip-lock has double security and is therefore incredibly resistant to knocks and impacts.

8cr13mov stainless steel

8Cr13MoV has similar properties to AUS 8A and is a proven steel ideal for making work knives. Cold Steel®'s own tests have shown this high-carbon stainless steel to be hard and corrosion-resistant. Like AUS 8A, it has good edge retention and is also easily resharpened.
