The Bushman Pocket Knife was designed with one goal in mind: to create a tough, reliable folding knife for camping and everyday use. A knife you can rely on for tough outdoor work and survival situations, yet one that's still small and handy enough to easily fit in your pocket or backpack.

The Pocket Bushman features a cryogenically treated 4116 stainless steel blade that is incredibly durable, can be sharpened with great precision, and has fantastic edge strength. It is long, wide, and has a sharp point that allows for a wide range of uses.

The handle is formed from a single piece, like the famous douk-douk . There are no plates, handles, or spacers. A single piece of stainless steel is bent into a U-shape. This piece houses the blade and provides the stability and robustness needed for the innovative Ram Safe® locking system.

Ram safe™ locking mechanism

This innovative system was developed by Andrew Demko and is perfectly matched to the handle's monoblock design. It's simply a steel piston that's pushed back and forth by the force of a spring. A powerful compression spring pushes the piston forward. This means the blade stays firmly in place, whether the knife is open or closed. When open, the piston remains wedged between the tang and the handle frame. If the piston or blade seal becomes deformed under heavy use, the self-adjusting piston adjusts and simply locks deeper. This means a stable lock is always guaranteed.

4116 stainless steel knife

4116 steel is a fine-grained stainless steel for knives. It is often used for pharmaceutical equipment and high-quality kitchen knives. Its balanced carbon-chromium ratio ensures first-class rust protection and high strength. It can be ground to very fine and extremely sharp cutting edges. An excellent choice for hunting/outdoor knives and kitchen knives and utensils.
