Multi-tools are often equipped with a large number of individual tools , many of which are actually only of limited use. When designing the Select Fire multi-tool, the focus was on its function as a knife. In terms of structure, the knife blade, which can be opened manually, is the central element. And this sword does a good job. Being made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, it is robust and has high edge retention. It is also glass bead blasted, giving it a matte surface that is less susceptible to dirt. If that weren’t enough, the Select Fire offers an incredibly comfortable handle that ensures safe handling – something that unfortunately cannot be said of many multi-tools.

The Grant & Select Fire by Gavin Hawk is also a handy multi-tool. The equipment includes a set of 4 screwdriver bits ( bits ) including a fold-out bit holder. The inserts (two flat-head screwdriver bits and two Phillips screwdriver bits) are housed in two small magazines integrated into the handle, which can be easily opened and put back into place after the appropriate bit has been removed. Black circuit boards complete the elegant overall look. Whether you use the Select Fire as a pocket knife or as a screwdriver, the contoured handle made of fiberglass-reinforced nylon is equally comfortable to hold.
