The Kershaw Mixtape is designed to provide a perfect combination of all the qualities you want in a lightweight, easy-to-carry pocket knife.



Kershaw used a variety of strategies to keep the Mixtape's weight down. For example, the handle features cutouts at the front and back. You can even see the single-position pocket clip through this handle window, as it blends seamlessly with the rest of the knife. The handle scales are glass-filled nylon, again for lighter weight. The backspacer (or lack thereof) offers additional weight relief. The Mixtape's open construction is easy to clean with a cotton swab and without disassembling the knife. Lake? Simple. Finally, a secure inset liner lock reduces weight even further by eliminating the need for a full internal liner. The result is a pocket knife that weighs just 77 g (2.7 oz).



However, the lightweight Mixtape also delivers heavyweight performance. Its stonewashed blade measures 7.9 cm (3.1 inches) and is made of 8Cr13Mov steel, which holds a fine, razor-sharp edge. The inverted tanto blade shape delivers a sturdy point that's ideal for piercing cuts. At the same time, it has enough belly to handle most cutting tasks with ease.

Open the mixtape using the built-in USB drive. Open it quickly, with one hand, or go classic and simply fold the blade out of the handle. As a finishing touch, Kershaw added a custom decorative pivot for a crisp look, plus some extra texture on the handle.
