Kershaw Leek pocket knife with composite blade and blackwash finish

The first thing you'll notice when you look at the Leek Composite Blade Pocket Knife is... the composite blade. The wavy line that runs the entire length of the blade is the plumb line that connects the sharp, safe D2 tool steel cutting edge. , and the spine made of Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel.

The next thing you’ll notice is Kershaw’s new Blackwash™ finish. This finish is reminiscent of the worn-in look of a favorite pair of distressed jeans that you just can’t bear to part with. And you’ll probably feel exactly the same if you ever get your hands on one of these leeks.

With this combination of two types of steel, Kershaw has created a blade that not only looks great, but also offers the best of both steel worlds. For the lower section, D2 steel is used, a steel with a high carbon and chromium content that can be sharpened extremely sharp and has incredible edge retention. The upper section is made from high-performance Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel. With such a composite blade, the specific advantages of each type of steel can be optimally exploited.

Like the other knives in the Leek collection, this model has a blade that is approximately 7.6 cm long, a slim, easy-to-carry design and a wide range of uses. With its modified drop-point blade it is well suited for cutting, but the narrow tip of the blade also gives it good piercing properties and is extremely handy for fine work.

Like the other onion * knife, the leek is equipped with the two-handed speedsafe opening mechanism. Whether you are right- or left-handed, simply press the protruding fin or slide the joystick forward and the blade is ready to use.

This leek model also features a pure stainless steel handle to match the blade. It has a blackwash™ finish. Reliable handling is guaranteed by an extremely stable frame lock, which ensures that the blade is securely locked when open, and a tip-lock slider, which holds the blade firmly in position when the leek is closed.

The reversible pocket clip is designed for both tip-up and tip-down carry styles, and a hole in the handle allows you to attach a lanyard.
