In many ways, the Cold Steel® Hold Out series of knives are ideal EDC ( every day carry ) knives for everyday use. They're incredibly lightweight and comfortable to carry, yet they offer a sense of security that only high-performance pocket knives can offer.

The beautiful satin-finished S35VN steel blades are extremely functional. They're back-ground, with a narrow V-shaped cross-section and a hand-honed edge. Curved from the neck to the sharp tip, they glide effortlessly through tough, rough materials and can easily handle everyday tasks and cutting jobs.

G-10 handles are ergonomic marvels. They provide an incredibly secure grip and won't twist or wobble in the palm during use. The G-10 material and grip-promoting cutouts provide additional grip for a variety of holding techniques. Additionally, the position of the Tri-Ad® locking mechanism and the geometry of the blades and handle are perfectly coordinated. The result is a knife with a power-to-weight ratio that has astonished even Cold Steel's own research and development team.



Available in two sizes, the hold-outs are incredibly thin and flat and feature a reversible pocket clip.

CPM S35VN steel

This is an extraordinary American super steel. CPM S35VN is not only extremely tough and durable, but it can also be sharpened very well to razor sharpness and maintains this edge for a long time. With its uniform microstructure, this very fine-grained powder steel offers good and consistent properties: durable, reliable, highly corrosion-resistant, tough, and hard even with finely ground cutting edges. A good, versatile steel for premium knives and tools.
