Custom knifemaker Wes Crawford is a longtime friend of Cold Steel®. Therefore, Cold Steel® is very happy to work with him on developing an affordable version of one of his expensive custom pinball machines . The result is the Crawford Model 1.

The 4034 Japanese stainless steel blade is closely based on the blade of Wes's original custom knife. It features a wide saber edge and a sturdy, sharp point with plenty of belly for slicing and slashing. It's hollow-ground and so thin and sharp that it cuts with the slightest touch. And because Wes's flipper fuses seamlessly with the tang, it can be extended in an instant!

In profile and shape, the handle is very similar to the original Wes. Here, however, it's made of sturdy (yet inexpensive) fiberglass-reinforced nylon with non-slip rubber inserts and a flat pocket clip.

The blade lock offers your fingers optimal protection because the Crawford 1 is equipped with a patent-pending double-security side-spring lock that is incredibly resistant to shocks and impacts.

Stainless steel 4034ss

A mid-range stainless steel from Japan whose high chromium content ensures remarkable corrosion resistance. This steel is also relatively easy to grind and has relatively good wear resistance. It is often used for kitchen knives/cutlery or for smaller knives that are generally of good quality but still offer a low price.
